Just simple Life

Nothing really that exciting to report. Work, laundry, dishes, house cleaning, some T.V. watching...and that is about it. Cade spent a few days with Rob, he built her a swing in his back yard so she likes to be over there so she can swing away. It is cold and raining, tis' the season I guess. Cade has a concert next week, I love them so I am excited to go see it. Other than that not too much is going on here, and I think I like it that way!

Halloween!!

Our Halloween was simple! I stayed home and past out candy, Cade went to a slumber party and trick-or-treating with her friends! Here are a few pictures of Cade in her Scarecrow costume!

Happy Birthday Jeff

Today is Jeff's Birthday! I just want to say that yes I still miss him, and still think about him. That is a time in my life that I will never forget. He was a truly unique individual that no matter what was there for me unconditionally. We had a good three years together, and he will forever hold a special place in my heart. He lost his life to save a lil' girl, and he is truly a hero. A devil took him away, and can never bring him back, but the memory of him will last forever. Happy Birthday Jeff...you are very much missed, and loved.

My week thus far...

We have carved pumkins, and made our Halloween plans. I need to put some finishing touches on Cade's costume, then it will be done. I am starting to get a cold AGAIN!!!!!! UGGGGGG!!!! I have somehow managed to keep the house clean all week! Work is still busy, and crazy. Our insurance is changing again, and it still sucks! Other than that it is just the same ol' stuff different day around here.

So far this year...

So today as I realized that it is almost November I started reflecting on the year. I can say this was for sure not the best year of my life...but also not the worst! I am finally feeling settled into my home...and actually loving it!!!! Cade has grown so much this year it is amazing. I too have had to look deep inside and find a lot of strength to make it through some really rough times this year. I am however very gratefully to be living on my own, taking care of Cade, and making the best out of it all. I have trimmed a lot of fat out of my life...yes real fat, and just a lot of negativity that people were surrounding me with. I am now living my life for Cade and myself, and really not giving any thought as to what others may think about my decisions. I am at peace, and it feels good. On the Mend...

Cade and I both seem to be on the mend, Thank God!!! Cade still has a bit of a cough, but nothing like it was!!! It looks like we might get some sleep tonight!!!! I am desperate for the weekend to come....I am FINALLY getting my home phone hooked up...going to Medford with a friend to look for stuff to make Cade's costume. I don't want to spoil the surprise of what it is going to be, but I will be busting out this thing called a sewing machine to put the costume together. Cade, My friend Carol and I will also be going to dinner in Medford and it should be a good time! I also am going to start the Christmas present shopping for Cade...yes that's right I think it is only like 71 days away...HOLY COW!!! We also got some good news at work today..my company is closing early on Christmas Eve...and paying us for it...along with closing early on New Year's Eve...and paying us for that too. Not all that exciting, but a nice little perk. Cade made it all day today at school, and the boys and girls club...so it looks like I will be getting the rest of my hours this week!!!! Tonight we just had a simple dinner, watched Gilmore Girl's, went through the Christmas stuff my mom sent me (by the way mom I only got one of the stocking holders, and I need both, do you have the other one?), and cuddled a little bit, nice and relaxing night!!!

Today is my brother Greg's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I am wishing him lots of good fortune, as he deserves it. He has been there for me lately like no other, and has helped me beyond measure, and for that he is amazing. Here's hoping you have a fabulous day!!!!
