Christmas

My brother finally made it!!! He got stuck in Portland because of the weather and a lot of cancelled flights. My wonderful cousins in Portland drove him to Eugene and my cousin here picked him up in Eugene, and brought him to my house. We finally got to go to Klamath Falls on Wednesday. My dad was in total shock that he was here, the surprise went of with a bang!! We had a wonderful holiday, and a good visit. I wish it could have been longer, but such is life. My brother has made it home safe and sound, and hopefully will get some good sound sleep tonight. He deserves it big time.

This year I remembered what Christmas is about family and friends. I would have to say that it was one of the best Chrismas' ever. Cade got a lot of cool stuff, and got to see her uncle for the first time that she will actually remember. They had a lot of fun together. He also got her a cool IPod that she loves, and thinks is extra special because it came from Indiana! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas, and that the new year will bring you all great things. Remember: Family is awesome!!!

Here you have it

So my big Christmas surprise was for my dad. My brother was flying in from Indian to surprise him, but do to this nasty weather he has missed all flights possible to make it here and is currently stuck in Portland. We are hoping that our family there will be willing to drive him to Eugene so that we can pick him up there. But this wonderful surprise has turned into a nightmare, and the hopes of it getting better are getting slimmer and slimmer. I will keep you all updated on the progress.

We didn't do much today, ran some errands and then laid around the house it was nice, but now I have a lot to get done tomorrow.

The road to Klamath is nasty, I am hoping that it gets better before I have to drive it.

Another one Gone!!

So today finally Cade lost her other front tooth. It has been hanging on to nothing for a week!! It was disgusting looking and I have been trying to get her to pull it out, today if finally happened. She is looking cute with no front teeth, and can actually sing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth". Today we did Christmas shopping, went out to dinner, took holiday pictures, and drove around to look at Christmas lights. The rest of my weekend will be spent trying to keep up with Buddy, who is definitely a puppy and has a lot of energy, and cleaning my house to get ready for my guest. I hope you all have had a good weekend!!!

Full Swing

We are in full swing on getting things ready for Christmas!! I can hardly wait! I had parent/teacher conferences this week and my lil' Cade is doing awesome. A little time to brag here, she got all Es on her report card, and is doing exceptionally well. She was put into challenge group which is a group for kids that get to do a little more challenging work. She is also reading at a fourth grade level, and she is only in second grade. GOOD JOB CADE!!! Here is a picture of Cade cooking dinner for us!!!!

Buddy is getting really big! He is learning to go potty outside, and is learning "NO" really well.

It's Cold!!!

Today Cade is having her best friend stay the night. We went to the Christmas Parade!! It was really cold, but fun. The weekend has so far been pretty laid back, but I have a lot of chores to do on Sunday. I am hoping to get the Christmas tree up, and do someother things around the house.

I don't have much more to report than that. I started a quite involved christmas gift that I have decided to make, hopefully it will be easier than I think, and will get done on time. We will see. Have a great weekend!!!!

AHHHHHH!!!!

It just seems like on of those weeks. I don't know if it because the holidays are approaching, or the weather is getting colder and we already have cabin fever, or the fact that the economy's downfall is finally starting to hit home, but it has been a crazy week and it is only Tuesday. I don't have much good to report. Cade is going crazy, tired at night, and cranky when I pick her up from school. She is in definite need of winter vacation. My job changed our benefits to some really poor insurance. I was trying to carry independent insurance for Cade and today I get the news that she is denied because of her asthma so I am forced to put her on mine, and pay a lot of money for it and it is horrible coverage. Just another victim to the economy. But I am still looking at the positive that we are still fortunate enough to even have insurance. And as the season approaches to Christmas I am reminded daily to be thankful for the things we have, and to count our blessing because there are a lot of people that are way worse off. I am happy to have my family, and friends, and living life, even though at times it gets rough. Keep your heads up, because I am trying really hard to keep mine up!!!! I have no new pics so here is an old one of Cade in Las Vegas, it was really windy!!!

Exhausted

I am exhausted!!! I worked today and it was really busy, so I am tired and cranky!!! Today I worked and went grocery shopping. Cade stayed with Rob and got to go ride horses. She had a lot of fun. I have no pictures of that because I wasn't there, but she had tons of fun!!! Happy Monday to everyone!

MY GRANDPA

So as most of you know my grandpa's health is not doing too good. I spent most of my Thanksgiving Day spending time with him, and it was nice. He still has his mind, I am grateful for that. We had fun playing the Wii at his house. He can bowl a 300 on that thing and he is 96!! Anyway the weekend is boring and I am going to work for the next 6 days. We are getting ready to decorate the house for Christmas! I am excited for Christmas because I have a huge surprise for someone very special to me and I can't wait to see his face!!!! I can't let the secret out, but I promise it is a good one, and I will let you all know in dear time what it is. The picture is of my grandpa and I when I was 5. He pretty much looks the same which is amazing because it was 22 years ago.

Mollie Visits

Yesterday after work Mollie came to visit us. We love it when she comes. Here is a picture of Mollie and Mackenzie, Cade was really tired and taking a nap. Tonight we worked on our puzzle for awhile and are gearing up for our holiday. Cade and I will be traveling to Klamath Falls for just a quick trip to catch up with family and see my grandpa who is not in good health. Prayers for him!!! For all my friends there I will see you all at Christmas, but unfortunately will not have enough time to see you this trip. I am sad about not being able to see you, but I really need to see my grandpa and spend as much time as I can with him. I can't wait for the 4 am shopping with my family here in Medford, it is one of the days of the year that we all look forward to, I know we are CRAZY!!!!

Weekend Fun

We had a good and relaxing weekend! We didn't do much spent some time with our puppy, Cade and I are working a couple holiday puzzles. Today is Rob's birthday so Happy Birthday to him. We went to his house with dinner, cake, and ice cream it was fun. We hope everyone has a good week!!!

What a Week

It has been a little busy in our house this week.. The addition of our new puppy Buddy has been getting Cade and I out of bed a little early this week, so we are both tired and cranky! We got our puppy on Sunday he is six weeks old. He is a German Shepherd/Lab mix so he is going to be pretty big when he is fully grown. He is learning the house dynamics pretty well, and we are all hoping that he will learn to "go" outside sooner than later! Cade lost her front tooth today at school and couldn't wait to see if I would notice when I picked her up. Of course I noticed right away. She was very excited to get her tooth necklace to put her tooth in at school, and made sure to put her tooth and fairy dust in her tooth fairy pillow custom made by Grandma, so that the tooth fairy will come. I am hoping for a relaxing weekend, but we never know what could happen the only thing on the list is Cade's sowing club, and some cleaning.

Baby Shower

Today was good we had a very succesful baby shower for my sister Traci. Everything went pretty perfect. My step mom came from Klamath Falls on Friday night, and we had a lot of fun!!! We stayed up until 2:30 in the morning talking, laughing, and decorating. The shower was a huge success. With about 20 guest Traci got a lot of much needed baby things. Thank you to all that came and enjoyed Traci's special day!!!
