Today I Remember

I remember playing lawn darts with my grandpa, he would always remind us not to hit anybody in the head with the dart.
I remember him driving around in his orange truck, and loving it when i got to ride along.
I remember when he pulled a needle I got stuck in my foot out of my foot, it hurt, but he saved me.
I remember all my Christmas' spent at his house as a child, and how he would be as interested as us kids about all the stuff we got.
I remember his fishing, and hunting stories shared all the time, because he has a lot of them.
I remember him setting up a croquet course so that we could play croquet in his yard for hours.
I remember picking apples with him.
I remember how great of a bowler he was, and his passion for bowling.
There is a lot to remember and to hold onto but most of all:
I REMEMBER HIS LOVE, THAT WILL NEVER GO AWAY!!!

Today we say Goodbye to a Wonderful Person

Today 9 a.m. the phone rings, it is "the call". My Grandpa passed today peacefully at his home around 6:30 this morning. I am O.K., it is hard but I am doing alright. My brother is coming into town on Thursday. It will help to have him around for a few days. The rest of my family is hanging in there, taking care of the "business" side of things that need to be done. I am grateful that he went peacefully, and did not suffer, and that he lived a long, happy, fulfilling life.

Peace be with you Grandpa Thomas. You are missed, but will never be forgotten I LOVE YOU!!!

I DON'T THINK I CAN WAIT

IT IS RAINY AND COLD

CADE STILL HAS HER COLD

WORK IS SLOW SO I AM NOT GETTING 40 HOURS A WEEK

SOME PEOPLE IN MY LIFE SUCK SOMETIMES, AND I DON'T THINK THEY REALIZE HOW MUCH THERE ACTIONS DEEPLY HURT (I DO HAVE FEELINGS PEOPLE)

MY GRANDPA'S HEALTH IS REALLY BAD

I COULD GET "THE CALL" AT ANYTIME

I NEED MY VACATION!! I NEED TO BE IN THE SUNSHINE, AWAY FROM THE CAOS, AND THE DAY TO DAY BUSINESS OF NORMAL LIFE. I NEED TO BE AROUND MY MOM, WHO DOESN'T JUDGE, OR BELITTLE, OR TRY TO CONTROL, SHE LETS ME BE ME, AND THAT IS THE BEST THING SHE COULD EVER DO.

I HAVE NO PICTURES TODAY, MAYBE TOMORROW IF I AM OUT OF MY FUNK.

Valentine Party

Today was Cade's Valentine Party at school. I helped out and it was a lot of fun. They played games, had goodies, and passed out valentine's to each other.

Sunny Days.....Or Not

So today it snowed, yes it is true snow in the middle of February in Grants Pass. As you all know I dislike the snow, so I am not very pleased with it. It went away, but it is freezing here, and supposed to be nasty for awhile I guess. I am in much need of some sun, and can't wait to get to Vegas, where I for sure should be indulging in some sunshine. Cade is feeling much better today, and her cough is less harsh. I however hurt my back at work, and it hurts. I am sure it will be better in a few days. Here is a picture of snow in Klamath Falls at Christmas.

Sickies

Today Cade is sick, and had to go to the doctor. Nothing too major a cold, but her throat is a lil' swollen so she was put on a heavy dose of anti-inflammatory. We are busy as usual, we had tacos for dinner and they were fabulous! The kiddos are playing tonight, and taking it easy.

Count your Blessing

I don't really have anything new or exciting to report so I am just going to give a little reminder to people to always count your blessing. In a time when our economy is continuing to go down hill, and more and more people are losing jobs I myself am very grateful to have a job and be able to live a comfortable life, and provide for my child. I am also grateful to have wonderful family, and friends that surround me, and are always their for me. So I challenge you all to think of the good things in your life tonight before you lay your head to go to sleep. And I challenge you all to not complain about anything tomorrow. I am going to put my self up to this challenge, and though it will be hard not to complain about anything, and I am just going to try and remind myself of the good things. Love you all!!!

Vegas Here We Come!!

Today something told me to look for air fare to Vegas and I found an amazing deal, so Cade and I are on our way to see my Mom and Bill in Vegas!! I am super excited, and Cade is too! We are leaving on March 16th and returning on March 23rd. It will be fun to see my mom and Bill, relax, and enjoy a vacation!!! Here is a picture of Cade in Vegas two years ago. I asked her today what she wanted to do when we got there and this is her list:

Swim (and the pool is probably not going to be open)

Go to Build a Bear Workshop

Go to M&M World

She informed me that everything else is boring. She is such a funny kid.
