Happy Birthday Jeff

Today is Jeff's Birthday! I just want to say that yes I still miss him, and still think about him. That is a time in my life that I will never forget. He was a truly unique individual that no matter what was there for me unconditionally. We had a good three years together, and he will forever hold a special place in my heart. He lost his life to save a lil' girl, and he is truly a hero. A devil took him away, and can never bring him back, but the memory of him will last forever. Happy Birthday Jeff...you are very much missed, and loved.

My week thus far...

We have carved pumkins, and made our Halloween plans. I need to put some finishing touches on Cade's costume, then it will be done. I am starting to get a cold AGAIN!!!!!! UGGGGGG!!!! I have somehow managed to keep the house clean all week! Work is still busy, and crazy. Our insurance is changing again, and it still sucks! Other than that it is just the same ol' stuff different day around here.

So far this year...

So today as I realized that it is almost November I started reflecting on the year. I can say this was for sure not the best year of my life...but also not the worst! I am finally feeling settled into my home...and actually loving it!!!! Cade has grown so much this year it is amazing. I too have had to look deep inside and find a lot of strength to make it through some really rough times this year. I am however very gratefully to be living on my own, taking care of Cade, and making the best out of it all. I have trimmed a lot of fat out of my life...yes real fat, and just a lot of negativity that people were surrounding me with. I am now living my life for Cade and myself, and really not giving any thought as to what others may think about my decisions. I am at peace, and it feels good. On the Mend...

Cade and I both seem to be on the mend, Thank God!!! Cade still has a bit of a cough, but nothing like it was!!! It looks like we might get some sleep tonight!!!! I am desperate for the weekend to come....I am FINALLY getting my home phone hooked up...going to Medford with a friend to look for stuff to make Cade's costume. I don't want to spoil the surprise of what it is going to be, but I will be busting out this thing called a sewing machine to put the costume together. Cade, My friend Carol and I will also be going to dinner in Medford and it should be a good time! I also am going to start the Christmas present shopping for Cade...yes that's right I think it is only like 71 days away...HOLY COW!!! We also got some good news at work today..my company is closing early on Christmas Eve...and paying us for it...along with closing early on New Year's Eve...and paying us for that too. Not all that exciting, but a nice little perk. Cade made it all day today at school, and the boys and girls club...so it looks like I will be getting the rest of my hours this week!!!! Tonight we just had a simple dinner, watched Gilmore Girl's, went through the Christmas stuff my mom sent me (by the way mom I only got one of the stocking holders, and I need both, do you have the other one?), and cuddled a little bit, nice and relaxing night!!!

Happy Birthday to my Brother

Today is my brother Greg's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I am wishing him lots of good fortune, as he deserves it. He has been there for me lately like no other, and has helped me beyond measure, and for that he is amazing. Here's hoping you have a fabulous day!!!!

SWINE FLU!!!

I just got home from the Dr. with Cade and she has Swine Flu...NICE!!!! So I was told she has to stay home for four days...Uggggg!!!!!!!! NO WAY that can happen!!! Hoping she feels better soon. I myself am back to not feeling so hot myself so I am just going to say that this whole has contaminated with the H1N1 flu....and I AM OVER IT!!!!!!!! I am fully back to sore throat, headache, fever, body aches, the whole nine yards. The phone company also messed up today so now I have to wait another week to get my phone....I am sad :(. Anyway I am off to bed.....

I need it to be Friday...my work is very busy!!! They want us to work twelve hour shifts...I can't because I have to pick Cade up...which makes everyone mad. However, I have to make up all the overtime hours on my day off!! Boo!!! To that!!! So I am up to six hours on my day off. The money will be nice, but I have things planned on that day that I am now going to have to cancel. My boss is being a jerk this week, apparently I am the target this week, and I totally feel like I am being babysat. Today I picked Cade up and she has a fever, a cough, a headache, and her body is sore...yes folks that's right....it appears that my sweet baby has gotten the flu!!! I can't afford to miss any time at work, can't afford to take her to the Dr. but apparently I am not going to have a choice, and once again am going to have to figure it out. But a paycheck that is only so big, can only be stretched soooo far, and believe me it is stretched!!! But I always seem to work it out...so that is just how it is going to have to be. If I have to call me my work is going to be mad...YIKES!!!! O yeah, and let me just tell you all about my FABULOUS new neighbor. Well, he is like ninety years old, ran away from assisted living, and now thinks we all need to take care of him. I am not jumping on that boat!!!! He has found my door bell and rang it yesterday at nine at night, I ignored it because I don't want him to depend on me for anything. He has asked me if I would help him in the shower (yeah I don't think so). He walks around half naked, never shuts his blinds, or doors, and smokes in his bed which makes me scared to death that he is going to burn this building down. UGGGGG...WHAT A WEEK!!!! Well, here's hoping everyone has a great Friday, and that you all stay healthy because this flu crap this year is NO JOKE!!!! No pics...I am tired, cranky, and just not going to do it tonight, sorry.

It must have been busy...

So as you can see in the pictures Cade apparently had a busy weekend!! She has been out like this for a few hours now...making for a very quiet evening at my house. She spent Friday with Rob, and Saturday had Mackenzie stay the night...so she was up late both nights of the weekend. Man, I wish I could sleep like that!!! I didn't do much this weekend, did a lot of house work, and laundry. Tonight I made meatloaf for dinner and it was really good. Other than that the report I got today tells me that work is going to be insanely busy this week, so I am going to go in tomorrow and get some overtime!!!

Bored....

I am sooo bored!!! All I really wanted was a nice, calm, relaxing weekend! I got it, and I am loving it, but I am bored!!!!!! I need to do some house work tomorrow, maybe take some pictures, and Cade needs to read, read, read....She had fun with Rob they went and saw Cloudy with a chance of meatballs a kid movie I guess, they then played video games until 3am. Wow the fun you can have when you get to go be with someone other than your mom!!!! Now we are going to snuggle in with some popcorn, and watch The Lion King...one of my all time favorite movies!!!!!

OK so I know I can complain a little too much....but seriously!!! My throat is hurting again...and my head is pounding!!! I thought I was done being sick, but apparently this is just not going to be my year as far as not getting sick goes. It appears that I am going to be spending another weekend not doing much but trying to stay healthy so I can go to work!!! Not really what I had planned for the weekend, but I need to rest so I can be 100% better. The weather has taken a drastic change to the winter side, it is freezing outside!! The heater is on, and the blankets are out, I am not really ready for winter, but it is here! Cade is spending the night with Rob, they are going to the movies and then doing whatever it is that they do (probably better that I don't know every detail..because I am sure it is not all mother approved). I am home alone tonight which is nice, but I am soooo bored!!!! Tomorrow I am hoping to finish decorating the house for Halloween, and then just watching movies, should be a relaxing weekend!!!!
